25 July, 2008 In July 2008 Irma Arguello was invited to participate in the 20th International Summer Symposium on Science and World Affairs, which took place in Boston from 25 July to 1 August, 2008. The main goal of the annual Summer Symposium is to encourage and support the development of young scientists working on policy-oriented research on international security and arms control issues. The central purpose is to encourage the development of such analysts mostly in countries where there is not a strong tradition of public interest science, and to integrate them into the international community of researchers with similar interests and backgrounds. |
